When I discovered JungShan Ink illustrations I could not help but wonder who was this talented artist. It did not took me long to find out that Jung Shan Chang is an emerging illustrator from Taiwan that blends Eastern style with Western techniques and moods. Her creations are the best proof of her virtuosity with both image editing software and the traditional Chinese ink technique.

The awesome results of the collaboration between Jung Shan Chang and the American comic artist Joe Benitez were the first works from JungShan Ink I discovered. Joe Benitez sent her some pencil sketches of Lady Mechanika and she used Chinese ink in order to finish the illustrations.

Her style is very versatile, for example the drawing above features one of her favorite singers, Marilyn Manson, and the drawing below was a comission for the French independent short film [ No Face ], directed by Mathilde & Jean-Yves.

Although Jung Shan Chang is a Chinese artist, she is very well-known for her samurais. Simply gorgeous. We invite you to discover more beautiful JungShan Ink illustrations at her official blog and DeviantArt gallery.
